Shame as the band sounded excellent the atmosphere was great for a small venue. This is a personal thing but I like to see a band as-well as hear them. Never saw the drummer and only saw heads of the band. The sound quality was good but the view was that poor I was finding myself trying to see the band the phones being held up. We moved back for Damn truth and the sound quality improved and there was no vibration. Don’t get me wrong I like loud music but if felt too intense there. The PA is suspended on the ceiling and with the combination of the room can have different effects.įor the support act we stood at the side nearer the front but the vibration was immense and uncomfortable. I occasionally saw them if they stood on the monitors. The stage is very small and low so unless you get there really early or are 6ft 6inch don’t think about seeing the band. No cider upstairs which is what my friends were drinking. I drink real ale and this bar only served craft beers like many bars in Camden. I didn’t drink during the gig as I couldn’t be bothered trying to carry multiple drinks up a narrow staircase whilst people were coming down. If you want the full range of drinks you have to return back down the narrow staircase as you do if you want to use the toilet. The merch desk is right by the door and adjacent to this is a man selling cans bottles out of a mini fridge. You then enter the venue which is a small narrow room. ![]() ![]() You queue upstairs and are given a wristband at the tiny kiosk. The gig venue is up a narrow stair which starts by the entrance to the toilets. This was my first time and the purpose of the visit was to see the band Damn Truth. Once inside the main pub it was excellent ambiance and looked a good place to come for some rock music. The pub was difficult to find as it has no signage on the outside so had to locate it via Google maps. ![]()
